Story
Rachel began her professional pursuit of coffee at Gimme! Coffee in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 2006. In 2007, she decided to translate her love of coffee into a job at a commodities fund in Greenwich, CT. After about six months of the brutal reverse commute, she and her husband Will decided to leave Manhattan and move to the ‘burbs– Rowayton, CT. Alas, they had been spoiled by the then up-and-coming coffee scene in New York and were disappointed to find that there weren’t similar coffee spots in Connecticut. Rachel dreamed about opening up her own shop. Then she met someone who shared that dream. In late 2008, the two began to talk seriously about creating a coffee bar Darien. The rest is history. Espresso NEAT opened in late August 2009.

Only just discovered of your existence a few days ago by reading a glowing review on Starre Vartan’s facebook page. I guess our spies have not been as vigilant as they once were. But we immediately rectified the omission, and gave you a link in the business section of our website under Java & Eats. Looking forward to a visit very soon…
That Kyle Bellinger guy that just competed in the Barista Competition was really good. I think they mentioned that he worked here, so I figured I’d let you all know that he might be worth keeping around.
